The whale shark, also known as "Domino" is the largest fish in the world; it reaches a length of between 5 to 15 meters long and weighs up to 10 tons.

This marine creature seeks tropical waters and rarely reaches hot waters.

Its body is similar to that of a robust and aerodynamic whale, brown and white or yellow circles on its back and white or yellow below. Thewhale shark is solitary, docile, and clumsy and does not attack even when it is provoked; they are harmless to man.This is a fantastic tour that should not be missed, it operates from June 1 to September 15 each year, although it is better to go on the tour during the months of June, July, and August because there are more whales in the area during this time.The whales do not remain in a consistent place, they move every year, in recent years they have remained north of Contoy in the CaboCatoche area.​ This is a swim and snorkel tour with the sharks; participants swim in pairs with the guide repeating the activity several times with the group. The boats accommodate 10 people maximum.Before starting this tour you will be given approximately 15 minutes of directions, in which the recommendations and regulations will be explained to you.
